In a paint store what exact paint can i ask for that will be the same as a perfectly clear blue sky?

say at mid day in summer . i want a brand of paint and the exact colour to ask for . i am in ontario canada. so we have lots of stores to pick from . homehardware. home depo . and others . thanksIn a paint store what exact paint can i ask for that will be the same as a perfectly clear blue sky?
The sky is many colors. It depends on the time of day and the latitude and air pollution and many other things. What is sky blue to you?

Colors are always seen in some sort of context. The context affects the perception we have of the color. No pigment will look the same in different contexts.

Go to the paint store and take the caps off the tubes and look at the color. Look at the dilution chart that shows how the color acts with white added.

Ultimately you will guess. In a paint store what exact paint can i ask for that will be the same as a perfectly clear blue sky?
cobalt blue with white works well.
Pick up a whole lot of blue paint chips and hold them up against the sky to compare.

You will quickly discover that there are an entire range of blues making up that perfectly clear sky. It's lighter and warmer near the horizon, darker and cooler straight overhead.

But I'm sure you'll find a shade that says ';clear sky blue'; to you. Then the nice folks at Home Depot will mix it for you, in any paint or finish you choose.
The color you are looking for is called Cerulean Blue (that's what writers and poets call the color sky you are describing). It is also a color of oil paint. I don't know if you'll find that word on any of the color chip strips, though.

Sherwin Williams has a color called ';Calypso'; which is the closest I could find.

I hope I've helped.
